The Order of the Iron Lily is open to any female member of the Mercenaries Medieval Combat Guild and is inclusive of non-fighters. The Order came into being in August of 2010. Its stated mission is for the support and recognition of all members of the MMCG. The Order strives to accomplish its mission through the recognition of individuals for contributions made to the group, the sponsorship and support of female fighters, and the encouragement of research and recreation of medieval life and arts.

Charter members are: Archer Lady Cynara de Wakelegh, Captain Georgia Malmsey, Merewyn, Andrea, and Laura.

Iron Lily members may wear a belt badge, a white fleur de lis on a purple ground, that identifies their order, a fleur de lis membership pin for special occasions, and a braided cord for ceremonies of office.

The Order has established awards in the following areas: Medieval Arts, Chivalry, Contributions, Morale, and Shield Maiden. Awards may be presented at any of the four major events of the year; Frost Wars, Kingmakers, Mercenary Wars, and Hereusttyde. Recipients of an Iron Lily award, regardless of rank, may wear the corresponding belt badge, a black fleur de lis on a colored ground, with fighting garb and an award pin for special occasions.

The Order also organizes four workshops throughout the year, one per quarter, for the advancement of the medieval arts. All members of MMCG are invited and encouraged to attend.
